I am writing a brief report on the history of technology and innovation
in unstable angina. I am trying to get information on the origin (date
and place of development) and development of technologies ranging from
PTCA and CABG to things like Betablockers and Calcuim Channel Inhibitors
to diagnostic tools like arteriography, scintigraphy,
electrocardiography, and echocardiography. I have a have books books on
the history of med technology and basic books on unstable angina but I’m
not quite finding what I’m looking for. Medline abstracts that I’ve
found don’t generally specify the first use of a given technology or
drug. Can anyone give me some pointers or any helpful information? I’d
be really appreciative. Is there a newsgroup on medical history?
Thanks. . .julian

I have a similar interest in the history of electrocardiography and have
loaded my findings from 1842 onwards in the 12-lead ECG library on the

I welcome any additions, corrections or comments.
