Fasting period for Blood Test

Can anyone tell me why my doctor determined my total cholesterol and LDL
amounts from a test taken about six hours after I had breakfast?

I thought the fasting time was overnight.  Is there a very small difference
in results between a six hour and a fourteen hour fast?

the "heave" occurs when a part of the heart is enlarged enough to
contact a large area of the inner chest wall during contraction of the
heart muscle.  depending on the location on the chest wall where the
"heave" is felt, the significance and its relationship to a VSD will
vary. these questions will be answered better by your primary physician
which will have more information about your history, physical exam, ekg,
    and any echocardiographic tests.

I’d certainly have it looked into, if for no other reason than that the
symptoms of coronary artery disease can mimic asthma.  I suffered from
asthma quite a bit as a teenager.  (I turned out to be allergic to cats
and some dogs.)  And last summer when I began to get the symptoms that
eventually led to my bypass surgery, they were quite a bit like the
asthma symptoms I’d had 40 years earlier.
