Mediconsult.com recognizes that patients and family members want to
get involved in the decision process regarding their care. To that end
we are committed to providing free, easy to understand, accurate and

The two major features of Mediconsult.com are the Journal Club and
Support Group. In the Journal Club we choose several papers weekly
about Heart Disease from the medical literature. Our medical writers
summarize the content of these articles in layman terms. The principal
author of eac article is personally contacted by phone and questions
of general interest regarding the article are asked. The questions and
answers are reproduced for you at the end of each summary.
The Support Group allows our visitors to post comments, ideas, or
questions to a public Heart Disease bulletin board to encourage a
sensible discussion pertaining to Heart Disease. Messages can be
posted anonymously if desired. Check out what other people have to say
about their experiences, then post your own message about your
experience to help other peope raise their understanding about Heart
Disease. Also, during this summer, medical students will be helping us
in taking some of the questions to experts in this field working in
leading medical institutions. Their answers will be reproduces on the
site. The submission process is moderated to ensure that inappropriate
messages are not posted.
