HELP_Prognosis re:CABG

My husband had a big anteriolateral mi 1/91. Cath in 10/91 showed 12
blocks from 40-90% in all vessels. Due to worsening of symptoms hae was
recathed in July, and was found to have 5 blocks increased to 90% or
more. Also, his scar had caused a mitral valve leak. He underwent 5
vessel revascularization and mitral valve repair 2 weeks ago. According
to the surgeon, his coronary arteries were calcified and loaded with
plaque. He also has a huge transmural scar of his anterior wall. What are
the chances these grafts will work. How do we know he won’t clog them
right up, too. He has familial hypercholesteremia and is on Mevacor 40
mg/day with cholesterol/lipid levels WNL. According to the op not,
prognosis is "guarded". Does anyone know about of have experience with
this situation- good or bad. I just feel like I’m in the dark!
Thanks
