Subtle differences in definitions.

Hello. Forgive me. I know that I could find the answer to the following
question in a book, but I would like to know what some experienced
people think about the following:

What are the specific differences between ventricular fibrillation and
tachycardia? As I understand it, tachycardia involves a definite rhythm
(albeit a fast one) while vfib involves a total lack of rhythm. Is that
it?

Flame me if you like; I realize that most of this group’s postings are
more technically, over-my-head oriented.
